If you are fond of watching movies in the theatre, then Multiplex operator PVR INOX is bringing a new gift for you. In fact, PVR will start a subscription plan to increase the number of audiences in the INOX theatre and bring more and more new audiences to theatres.

A company official said the company plans to launch a monthly plan of Rs 699. Under this plan, customers can buy tickets for weeks, i.e. Monday to Thursday, for Rs 70. In this monthly plan, users will be able to enjoy 10 films.

On Saturday, the major cinema series ‘PVR INOX Limited‘ announced a new initiative ‘PVR INOX Passport‘. It is the first film of its kind, “Subscription Pass”, aimed at “promoting the film industry” and motivating consumers to visit theatres frequently.

The monthly ‘subscription pass’ will be available from October 16, and people taking it can watch 10 films per month for only Rs 699. This offer will apply from Monday to Thursday but not to theatres such as IMAX, Gold, Lux, and Director Cut.

Gautam Dutt, co-chief Executive Officer (CEO) of PVR INOX Limited, said the company is trying to know the customers’ habits.

It is being called the first in-theatre movie subscription offering in the country. However, this subscription plan also includes some terms and conditions. In this plan, you can buy a ticket for Rs 70 only between Monday to Thursday. Weekend means this plan will not work on Friday to Sunday. This subscription plan is also unavailable for India’s South Region and premium screens like Insignia and IMAX.

PVR INOX first removed consumers’ anxiety regarding food items and beverages. They recently reduced their prices by 40 percent.

Plan can be of use to these people

According to a PVR INOX official, the plan will be able to recall homemakers and elders in theatres. According to an analysis by the media consultant group Omax, the number of audiences over 31 years of age has significantly declined. The average age of the audience going to the cinema has come down from 27.5 pre-Covid to 24.1. The number of 31-40 years of audience has fallen by 31 percent, and the number of audiences over 41 years of age has fallen by 39 percent.

This quarter will increase the number of audiences in PVR.

Analysts estimate that PVR INOX will record a record customer number in the September quarter. Films including Jawan, Gadar 2, Rocky Aur Rani ki Prem Kahani, Oppenheimer, Mission Impossible, and Jailor have performed well. The number of spectators increased slightly in the June quarter. During this period, the company had registered a customer number up to 3.39 crore. However, it was less than 4.34 crores a year ago.
